What kind of camera do you use?

Actually, most of the pictures on my blog are taken with my iPhone!

May I re-use images from your site?

This one’s a little bit complicated but as long as…
– I own the copyright (sometimes I ask nicely if I can use other people’s images, and I can’t grant you the rights to re-use those – if so, there will always be a statement in the blog post saying where I got the images from)
– it’s for non-commercial purposes (I’m happy to discuss using them for commercial purposes too, but please get in touch)
– you don’t edit them other than cropping or resizing (again, I’m happy to discuss using them in other ways, but please get in touch)
– you credit where the image came from and link back to the post it appeared in
Then it’s fine 🙂 I’m also happy to have any of my images used on Pinterest or Polyvore.

However, just in case any of my images ever end up being used in a way that I’m not happy with (for example in the – admittedly unlikely! – event that they end up on a pro-ana site) I reserve the right to revoke this permission permanently on a site by site basis.

What’s your policy on working with brands?

I’m very careful about the brands I work with – they have to be a natural fit with the ethos of Vanity and the Bluestocking. The same goes for accepting products – I’ll only showcase things on my site that I genuinely really like and would buy anyway. If something has been given to me, I’ll always include that it is courtesy of (c/o) that brand.
